Three Stories in One Book...

Apartment Fire
Twelve-year-old Brandon Abston of Lawton, Oklahoma saw that a neighbor’s apartment was on fire. Hearing children’s screams inside, he plunged repeatedly through roiling flames to rescue four young children-- while a crowd of adults watched his efforts without helping!

See exciting video clip from Brandon's story (Episode #105) on the
Real Kids, Real Adventures TV series!

Runaway Balloon
Eleven-year-old Alex Nicholos of Colorado Springs, Colorado was trapped alone in a runaway hot air balloon after a high-wind landing caused the pilot to be dumped out. With less than two hours’ fuel left, the youngster had to be "talked" through complicated pilot’s lessons over the radio.

See exciting video clip from Alex's story (Episode #101) on the
Real Kids, Real Adventures TV series!

Trinity River Rescue
Seret Gomez, seventeen, and Daniel Whitehead, sixteen, of Fort Worth, Texas were leaving their school when they saw a woman chasing a stationwagon which was rolling down the steep parking lot. Seeing small children in the car, the teens joined the chase. The car shot across a busy highway, then plunged nose-first into the Trinity River. Seret, Daniel, and several passersby dove in after it and managed to rescue all three children just before the car sank.

SURROUNDED BY FLAMES

They'd only taken a few steps toward the apartment building when Brandon suddenly yelled, "Hey! Look at that!"
Robert followed his gaze. The windows of a ground floor apartment directly ahead were filled with huge orange flames! As they stared, black smoke poured from the windows and out from under the front door.
Brandon acted quickly. "FIRE!" he yelled. "Fire! Fire! Call 9-1-1!" Heart pounding, he raced forward and put his fists up to pound on the door. That was when he heard the muffled screams.
"Help! Help!" It was a child's faint cry, almost a sob. He looked around wildly, but there was no one else to help. He turned to Robert.
"I'm going inside. You stay here and show the firemen where to go when they show up."
"You can't go in there!" Robert cried. "You'll fry!"
"A little kid's in there!" Shaking his friend off, Brandon turned the doorknob and darted inside.

"Rip-roaring adventures for kids....What sets these books apart is their emphasis on humility and true courage (as opposed to foolishness or bravado). A series with such a combination of high entertainment value and action packed adventure is a rare find." (New York Metropolitan News)

"The stories make you want to keep reading. The book precedes each story with facts about the child, and the character becomes real.... The stories presented a hero that the kids could identify with." (Iowa Daily Democrat)

"Filled with suspense and excitement. These are wholesome, true to life stories where ordinary boys and girls become heroes. Young readers will be....captivated by these inspiring, incredible stories." (Christian Library Journal)

"Kids love a hero--Hercules, Superman, and of course the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Fantasty characters all. But now, thanks to Deborah Morris, kids can sink their teeth and imaginations into a collection of tales about real-life heroes. And all of them are under voting age." (Pam Harbaugh, Florida Today)

"These are stories that show kids facing extraordinary situations with courage and grit. I think Real Kids Real Adventures is a good influence for children and makes for exciting reading." (C.T., Christian Book Review)

"Deborah Morris spolights the very best in children." (Garland News

"An exciting set of survival stories." (Church Media Library Magazine)
